Barwell Motorsport seeks Silver drivers for return to two-car Endurance Cup effort in 2022

Barwell Motorsport has confirmed plans to field a two-car effort in the 2022 Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Endurance Cup and is seeking suitable drivers for its revived Silver Cup programme.

The British squad ran a single Lamborghini this year as it launched a full-season Pro-Am assault. This project was successful, yielding the Sprint Cup and combined titles for Barwell and its driver pairing of Miguel Ramos and Henrique Chaves.

Next year the outfit will seek to win back the Silver crown in the Endurance Cup, having previously claimed the teams' and drivers' championships in 2020. Barwell also earned Silver honours at the 2019 TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa, one of three wins in as many classes between 2018 and 2020.

In a statement, Barwell announced that it is "already in discussions with several drivers for the six seats available across the two cars, and would like to speak to suitable Silver-graded drivers who are interested in joining our championship-winning team.

"As always our Silver Cup programme will have the support of Lamborghini Squadra Corse, who follow the progress of our successful Silver drivers very closely," the British squad added.
